Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger and isolation! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Driver: Volunteers are needed to deliver meals in Federal Way on Thursday mornings. Drivers pick up meals between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and are typically done with their route in 1 – 1.5 hours. Training is provided and mileage is reimbursable. We are looking for someone that is available long term.

Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Good communication and people skills, reliable, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders.

Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, Washington State drivers license and insurance, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 21 or more.

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that is fun and rewarding? Join our Volunteer team! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Driver: Volunteers are needed to deliver meals in Kent on Wednesday mornings as needed. Drivers typically arrive at the Center at 8:30AM, load up the meals, and are done with their route in about 2 hours. Training is provided, and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries. We are looking for someone that is available longer term.

Summary: Volunteer Site Coordinator in Renton Needed!

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Site Coordinator: Help make a difference for seniors in your community by coordinating our Renton Meals on Wheels site! In this position, your main responsibilities are to coordinate our dedicated volunteers for the delivery of meals as well as completing various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. In a pinch, the Coordinator can fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including delivering meals to clients.

This volunteer role involves a weekly commitment of 5 to 6 hours, with the ability to be on-site on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for volunteers who have long term availability.

Would you like to help build the Elder Education Institute? Help us bring training on topics related to older adults and aging to a broader audience. We are looking for someone with the following skills.

  • Administrative skills 
  • Basic Microsoft Office (including Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic research 
  • Comfortable doing outreach 
  • Reliability and friendliness 

Qualifications: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication and people skills, reliability, and good cheer. This is an ongoing volunteer commitment and we are looking for someone available long-term.
