Ashton Applewhite

Featuring Ashton Applewhite, bestselling author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.

This Chair RocksApplewhite, who has been featured in The Washington Post, National Public Radio, and The New York Times, is the most influential public voice against ageism in America today. Described as “wise, funny, and provocative,” she tours the country reversing negative stereotypes about growing old and emboldening others to do the same.

By bringing together leading experts on ageism, young artists and community members of all ages, we’ll look at new ways to answer questions such as: how can we live our best possible lives in the years to come? How can we embrace aging as an opportunity to explore new interests, lead fulfilling, purposeful lives, and connect even more meaningfully to those around us?

Proceeds benefit the work of Sound Generations throughout King County.
