Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Volunteer Packers: A volunteer is needed to help pack meals on Thursday mornings, 8:00-9:30 AM. As a packer, you will bag the meals delivered to homebound seniors. When a delivery goes well – drivers leave with the right bags to deliver and clients receive the meals they ordered – and it’s you we can thank. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering longer term. Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer. Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more.

Summary: We are actively seeking volunteers (1 person per shift, 12 shifts total) to assist us in the collection and organization of non-perishable items for our Holiday Food Drive.

Description: Join our team! Holiday Food Drive Helpers will assist on-site staff in coordinating the retrieval of non-perishable items from our community partners and organizations. Tasks include lifting boxes of goods and separating items by category (canned/boxed).

Requirements: Should be detail-oriented, personable, and okay with repetitive motion activities.

Summary: Deliver meals and a smile!

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Coordinator: As the Volunteer Coordinator you will be working with a wonderful volunteer team, coordinating schedules, helping delivery drivers head out with the correct bags, and assisting with various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along. You would be needed Thursdays, 8am – 11am, at the MOW office located at the Federal Way Community Center. We are looking for someone that is available long term.

Backup Driver: A volunteer is needed to deliver meals in Federal Way on Thursday mornings, as needed when one of the weekly drivers is away. Drivers pick up meals between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and are typically done with their route in 1 – 1.5 hours. Training is provided and mileage is reimbursable. We are looking for someone that is available long term.

Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication and people skills, reliability, and good cheer.

Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more. A WA state driver’s license and insurance is required to be a volunteer driver.

Qualifications:  Looking for people who are friendly and interested in making persons feel welcome. No experience required!

Qualifications:  Willingness to serve a low-income community with an ethnically diverse population.

Summary: We are actively seeking Administrative volunteers to assist us in preparation for our 37th annual Golden Gala celebration!

Full Description Join our event administrative support team! As a Supply & Inventory assistant, tasks will include creating an event inventory, moving and organizing supplies, and documenting the location of inventory across three locations within Sound Generations’ HQ at the Lillian Rice Building in Belltown. Carts will be on-site to assist in the transport of items between rooms! 

Requirements: Should be organized and comfortable with working alone. Volunteers should be able to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and carrying up to 50 lbs as necessary.

Full Descriptions: Lake City Seniors, a Sound Generations Program is searching for a volunteer to help assist with the technological side of our Zoom Series, Tomando Control de Su Salud. This person would need to bi-lingual and be able to assist participants with basic technology issues and be able to assist the presenters in showing slide materials. This is a virtual opportunity and you can do it from anywhere!

This opportunity is from 9:30am until about 1:00pm and starts Wednesday, May 12th and continues on Wednesdays for 7 weeks. We have the ability to give a gift cards to a volunteer that can help out. 

Help seniors take control of their health and be a volunteer with us!

Description: Join our Fundraising Team!  As a Marketing and Philanthropy volunteer, you will assist the team with a variety of administrative needs, that include data entry, letter folding, and mailing activities. Feel free to share your comfort level for computer-oriented tasks, we have a variety of jobs for all computer ability levels!
Requirements: Should be detail-oriented, okay with repetitive motion activities, and for data entry, be familiar with Salesforce and/or Microsoft Suite and able to type 40wpm.
