About the Awards

The Inspire Positive Aging Awards is one of the largest award ceremonies recognizing the achievements of older adults in the country. In the past two decades, we’ve celebrated the achievements of over 550 older adults in Western Washington.

To be eligible, a person has to 1) be age 60 years or older, 2) live in Western Washington, and 3) inspire you.

Inspiration blooms as older adults share their stories across six categories:

  • Advocacy & Activism – someone committed to advancing their community through positive change
  • Community Service – someone who contributes time and energy to helping others
  • Defining Inspiration – someone whose attributes have inspired and touched you in a unique way
  • Health & Wellness – someone who promotes healthy living and inspires you to do the same
  • Intergenerational Impact – someone who works to improve the lives of people of all ages
  • Lifelong Learning – someone who inspires you to broaden your horizons
