On Thursday September 26th, 2024, Age Friendly Seattle hosted their monthly Civic Coffee at Kin On Community Center! Our wonderful panelists highlighted practical home safety modifications to enhance independence and prevent falls for older adults. The event included live translation in Mandarin and Cantonese. Thank you to panelists Maeling Amorin of Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County and Dale Miller of Sound Generations’ Minor Home Repair for the insightful conversation and to all the attendees for joining us! Thanks to City of Seattle and Seattle Public Library for providing this opportunity and to the National Council on Aging for providing Falls Free Check Up materials in Chinese.
