Reimagine Aging

September 14, 2016

Ashton ApplewhiteJoin Sound Generations at our Fundraising Breakfast: Reimagine Aging, featuring Ashton Applewhite, bestselling author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.

Applewhite, who has been featured in The Washington Post, National Public Radio, and The New York Times, is the most influential public voice against ageism in America today. Described as “wise, funny, and provocative,” she tours the country reversing negative stereotypes about growing old and emboldening others to do the same. By bringing together leading experts on ageism and community members of all ages, we’ll look at new ways to answer questions such as: how can we live our best possible lives in the years to come? How can we embrace aging as an opportunity to explore new interests, lead fulfilling, purposeful lives, and connect even more meaningfully to those around us?

Register online today, and invite your friends, family members and colleagues to join you in embracing aging and supporting others to do the same. Attendance at the event is free, with a suggested donation of $150. Donations may be made at the event or in advance. All proceeds benefit the work of Sound Generations in the community.
