Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Volunteer Driver: A Volunteer is needed to help pack and deliver meals every other Wednesday. Volunteers arrive at the Enumclaw Senior Center at 11:45 and are typically done with deliveries in 1.5 – 2 hours. Training is provided and mileage to deliver meals is reimbursable. We are looking for someone interested in volunteering longer term.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.
Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, WA state driver’s license and auto insurance, and be age 18 or more.
