Summary: Co-Coordinate the Meals on Wheels volunteer activities at our Federal Way site.
Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
As a Volunteer Co-Coordinator you would work with the current Volunteer Coordinator, supporting our wonderful team of volunteers and assist with various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule on Thursday mornings from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The co-coordinator is also able to fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for someone interested in volunteering longer term.
Delivery Driver: We are also looking for an additional back-up delivery driver for Thursday mornings, as needed. Drivers arrive between 8 am – 9 am and are typically done with their route in 1 – 2 hours.
Packer: A volunteer is needed to pack meals in Federal Way on Wednesday mornings, as needed. The packers arrive at 11:45 AM and are typically done in 2 – 2.5 hours. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering longer term.

Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 21 or more.
