Meals on Wheels: Volunteer Caller and Office Support needed in Belltown

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Volunteer Office Support and Backup Caller: A volunteer is needed to help call Meals on Wheels participants for their order on Wednesday mornings, 8:30 am – 11:00 am, as needed when the weekly caller is away. The volunteer would also support with various projects such as data entry, printing and mailing, that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. Advance notice will be given when needed. We’re looking for someone available long-term. Training will be provided.

Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.

Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and have the ability to lift 15 pounds.
