Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
As a Volunteer Co-Coordinator you would work with the current Volunteer Coordinator, supporting our wonderful team of volunteers in the weekly packing & delivery of meals and assist with various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. The coordinator is able to fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team. Availability Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Meals are delivered Thursday mornings.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and good cheer.
Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 21 or more.
