Sound Generations’ affiliated senior centers connect older adults, their friends, and their families to their local community. Members and visitors are invited to partake in range of activities including wellness classes, arts and crafts, card and board games, community dinners, special events, and holiday celebrations. In addition to enrichment activities, the senior centers provide older adults access to warm nutritious meals and healthcare resources.
Meet the Centers
Ballard NW Senior Center is the” friendly center” where all are welcomed, supported and appreciated. We are a great place to get a hot lunch with friends old and new, exercise and stay fit, and take classes to learn and grow.
Our center provides the opportunity to volunteer, socialize, and so much more. Many call the Ballard NW Senior Center “a home away from home.”
The Lake City-Northgate Senior Center Project (LCNG) takes a ‘without walls’ approach, with a strong emphasis on equity and inclusion. Older adults of all backgrounds participate in LCNG’s programs and activities like Bingo, Mahjong, art classes, and more. LCNG also provides outreach, resources, and referrals for mental and behavioral health support to older adults in NE Seattle.
We believe a strong West Seattle community should have a welcoming and inclusive gathering place where our older adults in the community can connect with each other, volunteer, and pursue their goals of health, wellness, and lifelong learning as they age.
Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Activity Center offers a variety of activities welcoming adults aged 50+ to participate in recreational, social, health, educational, and nutritional services. We continue to add new programs each quarter. Our staff, volunteers, instructors, and facilitators strive to foster a fun, relaxed atmosphere where lasting friendships form and memories are created.
Our facility is 100% ADA accessible with lots of parking spaces. Welcome to the Center!
The Sno-Valley Senior Center is your home-base in the Snoqualmie Valley, where we work to inspire, support and empower seniors to lead healthy, enriched lives through low-cost health services, fitness classes, trips, events, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
We began to build our community around food and eventually, a robust schedule of senior-focused programming that includes fitness classes, information sessions, gardening/ farming and field trips. We now have an East African senior center ‘without walls,’ providing meals, social services, and activities at various locations in Seattle (Northgate Community Center, Yesler Community Center, and Rainier Beach Urban Farm)
