King County residents aged 60 years or older.
 
Three Ways to Nominate:

Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center: Cancer Survivor Support Group Facilitator

Summary:
 Volunteer to facilitate a Cancer Survivor Support Group for older adults.

Description: Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center, a community partner site of Sound Generations, is seeking a volunteer to facilitate a Cancer Survivor Support Group for older adults. This would be a new addition to our programming, so the day/time is flexible. There has been great interest in starting this group, and we hope to begin as soon as possible, in order to meet the vast need of this type of support group among our seniors.

Requirements: Required background check.  Some experience with older adults.  1 hour/monthly.

Position: Parkinson’s Support Group Facilitator
Program: Shoreline- Lake Forest Park Seniors

Description: Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center, a community partner site of Sound Generations, is seeking a volunteer to facilitate a Parkinson’s Support Group for older adults. Currently, this group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Shoreline- Lake Forest Park Senior Center for one hour. The meeting time is 3-4pm, however the meeting time (and possibly day) can be flexible. This class has been running for quite a while, and has seen great interest and attendance.

Requirements: Required background check.  Some experience with older adults.  1 hour/monthly.
