Summary: We are actively seeking event volunteers to assist us at our Inspire Positive Aging Awards Luncheon celebration. It showcases and honors the contributions of older adults throughout King County. 

Full Description: Join our Event Volunteer Team!  Accessibility assistants will escort guest to seats when needed and/or guiding them to the bathroom.  Additionally, offering assistance to present nominees during the program who need assistance getting to the stage for the group photo. You will be their extra set of hands and/or eyes as needed.  

Requirements: Should be personable and comfortable with direct interaction with guest who may having physical limitations and/or challenges. (avg of 60 min.) Dress code is business casual. 

IPAA Event Volunteer: Outreach

Position: Outreach (2-4 spots available)

Location: Downtown Admin Offices (Belltown) 

Schedule: One-time flexible, late May or early June

Full Description: Come outreach with us!  We are looking for a group of individuals who are no strangers to making phone calls.  Past events have shown that when we share the news of one’s nomination with all the organizations that the nominee is connected to, attendance at the event goes up!  Looking for 2-4 individuals who are open to calling or emailing organizations to share the news of the nomination and encourage them to attend to support the nomination of their volunteer, co-worker, friend, or fellow church member.  It’s a phone tree party! Lite refreshments and drinks are provided. 

Requirements: Should be personable and comfortable with talking on the phone. Previous customer service experience preferred.

Summary: We are actively seeking a volunteer coordinator to oversee the volunteers on the day of our Inspire Positive Aging Awards Luncheon celebration.  It showcase and honors the contributions of older adults throughout King County 

Full Description: Join our Event Volunteer Team!  You will be the initial point of contact for all volunteers.  Checking them in, badging them, providing direction to their assignments, and making sure they get trained by corresponding staff.  You are the first point of contact for our volunteers and may be asked a variety of questions like, Where can I set my belongings?”  

Requirements: Prior supervision of volunteer experience preferred. Should be personable and comfortable with standing for prolonged periods of time (avg of 60 min.) Dress code is business casual.

Full Description: Join our Event Volunteer Team!  The tear down crew will assist the staff with making sure everything is packed up and accounted for.  This includes retrieving signage, packing up centerpieces, nametag holders, nomination lane, the photo booth, registration, and raffle station. 

Requirements: Need to be comfortable working with others you may not know.  Need to be able to lift 10-50lbs. Having prior packing and boxing skills is preferred. Dress code is business casual.

Full Description: Join our Event Volunteer Team!  Set-up crew will assist the Resource Development Department in transforming the ballroom and registration area into a celebratory space.  This entails, ensuring the ballroom tables are properly dressed with centerpieces, table tents, programs, and favors.  In addition, you will assist with setting up the photo booth, raffle ticket, and nomination lane areas.  Lastly, you will help ensure all event and directional signage is in place prior to the start of the event. 

Requirements: Should be able to lift and carry 5-15lbs., comfortable with multi-tasking, and moving in many different directions. Dress code is casual.  If you plan to stay for the luncheon, please bring a change of clothes or dress business casual
