When our Volunteer Coordinator Berni learned that a 90-year-old Meals on Wheels client hadn’t been able to repair her fence after a storm earlier this year, she wanted to do something about it. So, she rallied her fellow volunteers in Federal Way to chip in for supplies, then spent all of Labor Day with her husband repairing the fence. Check out the beautiful finished result!
At the heart of our programs are so many stories like this, of neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers going above and beyond, and people across King County doing what they can to make life better for others.
