Many seniors are shy and insecure about technology, throwing their hands in their air when trying to navigate computers. Ray Bradley knows this, which is why he has taught computer classes for five years in a calm, reassuring manner. Ray volunteers his time teaching every Wednesday and does individual teaching by request.
His big heart goes beyond the computer. He also supports the nutrition class and participates in the drumming class. He helps with set-up and makes sure things goes smoothly until the end.

His peers describe Ray as a “silent force.” He doesn’t make a big show, but always does great work. When you ask him to help, he’s there for you. Whether you bring in your laptop or computer, Ray is ready to listen. He believes that you are never too old to learn, and his attitude inspires numerous older adults when they take his class.
In 2018, Ray received the Inspire Positive Aging Award for Lifelong Learning.
